1. Who we are

2. What STARTA does

STARTA assesses early-stage startups submitted by their founders and issues a STARTA Score certificate — a structured, automated assessment across six dimensions (product maturity, market validation, founder profile, technical health, growth signals, acquisition fit), scored by deterministic code from data the founder provides, using an AI model only to interpret the founder's submission into that scoring, not to decide the score itself.

Founders may optionally submit their assessed project to the public STARTA Marketplace as an anonymized listing. Investors may pay to unlock the full, non-anonymized disclosure of a specific listed project, subject to founder approval (see Section 6).

3. Assessments are not verification or investment advice

A STARTA Score reflects only the information the founder submitted at the time of submission. STARTA does not independently verify a founder's claims, financials, user counts, revenue, or any other self-reported data, except through the review described in Section 6.

A STARTA Score, certificate, or Marketplace listing:

  • is not investment advice, a recommendation to invest, or a guarantee of any project's quality, viability, or future performance;
  • is not a substitute for a buyer's or investor's own due diligence;
  • reflects a point-in-time assessment that may become outdated.

4. Founder accounts and submissions

To generate an assessment, you create an account and submit information about your project. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit. Submitting false, misleading, or materially inaccurate information may result in certificate revocation under Section 6.

5. Payments

5.1 Certificates (€70)

Founders pay a flat fee of €70 to generate a STARTA Score certificate for an eligible assessment. Payment is processed by Stripe; STARTA does not store your card details.

5.2 Investor disclosure (€99)

Investors pay a flat fee of €99 to request full disclosure of one Marketplace listing. Payment does not guarantee disclosure is granted — see Section 6. If the founder declines the request, the €99 is refunded in full, automatically, as soon as the founder's decision is recorded.

5.3 Refunds — certificates

Certificate fees are generally non-refundable once the certificate is issued, except where STARTA revokes a certificate under Section 6 (bad-faith or materially inaccurate submissions), in which case the €70 is refunded.

6. Marketplace review, disclosure approval, and revocation

6.1 Marketplace listing review

Submissions to the Marketplace are reviewed manually before publication. STARTA may reject a submission for any reason, including but not limited to listing quality, category mismatch, or incomplete information — a plain rejection does not affect your certificate.

6.2 Bad-faith rejection and revocation

If STARTA determines, upon review, that a submission contains materially false or misleading information submitted in bad faith, STARTA may:

  • reject the Marketplace submission,
  • revoke the associated STARTA Score certificate, and
  • refund the original €70 certificate fee.

A revoked certificate is publicly marked as revoked and no longer displays a score or tier.

6.3 Investor disclosure approval

Every disclosure request requires the founder's explicit approval before any non-anonymized information is released. The founder may decline a request for any reason. A declined request results in an automatic, full refund to the investor.

6.4 Disclosure link sharing

A disclosure, once approved, is accessible via a private, unguessable link generated for that specific purchase. STARTA does not require investor accounts. If you share this link, anyone with it can view the disclosed information — STARTA is not responsible for information disclosed as a result of a shared link.

7. What investor disclosure does and does not include

An approved disclosure reveals the project's real name, website (if provided), description, target market, and founder background, and the founder's contact email. It does not currently include a pitch deck or any uploaded files — STARTA does not yet support file uploads for this purpose.

8. Account deletion

STARTA does not currently support deleting an account that has an active, unrevoked certificate. If you wish to delete your account and no active certificate exists, contact hello@starta.so.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use STARTA to submit information about a project you do not own or are not authorized to represent, to impersonate another person or entity, or to attempt to circumvent the anonymization or review process.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Lithuanian law, MB Startai's total liability arising from your use of STARTA is limited to the amount you paid to STARTA in the twelve months preceding the claim. STARTA is provided "as is," without warranty that assessments are error-free or that the platform will be uninterrupted.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of STARTA after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania.
